Orthopedic Surgery, Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Fellowship
Jennifer H. Wood, MD, is a board certified, dual fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon who is dedicated exclusively to the treatment of musculoskeletal trauma. As a fracture specialist, her expertise includes caring for patients with a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries including: simple isolated fractures, complex fractures, pelvis fractures, and severely injured patients with multiple fractures. Additionally, she treats problems with fracture healing including: non-healing fractures (nonunion), bone infection (osteomyelitis), and fractures that have healed in a less than ideal position (malunion).
Dr. Wood grew up on the East Coast, and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. She completed an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at nearby Hennepin County Medical Center, and a Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Fellowship at The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland.
After fellowship, Dr. Wood returned to Minnesota to provide expert fracture care to patients in the region. She practices at the Twin Cities Orthopedics clinic in Robbinsdale. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Wood has been appointed to and currently serves on two national committees related to orthopedic trauma care, including the Orthopaedic Trauma Association Fellowship Committee and the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons Trauma Evaluation Committee.
