Dr. Lafferty is a board certified, fellowship-trained Trauma and Adult Reconstruction Surgeon. His special interests include care of simple and complex fractures of the pelvis, acetabulum (hip socket), ribs, upper extremities and lower extremities. He also treats nonunions (fractures that fail to heal), malunions (fractures that heal in poor alignment) and osteomyelitis (bone infection). Dr. Lafferty also performs primary and revision joint replacement of the hip, knee and elbow.

Prior to joining TCO in January 2019, Dr. Lafferty was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota from 2011-2019. During his time there, Dr. Lafferty authored or co-authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and trained Orthopaedic Trauma Fellows and Orthopaedic Surgery Residents. He was named “Teacher of the Year” by the Graduating Resident Class in 2017.
