I was very pleased with my recent total knee replacement. My options were discussed in easy to understand terms, what to expect during and after surgery, its risks, and all my questions were answered. I was totally at ease going into this surgery and had faith in Dr. Moen. His assistant Steph made herself available for my silly questions, and refilled my prescriptions immediately, going the extra mile. I attended the two hour pre surgery class and would recommend it to anyone considering knee surgery. I followed the three week pre-surgery exercises to the letter. My recovery at home was easy, pain free, and I was weaned from my pain medicine within two weeks. I am back to doing everything I need to do, pain free. I am so happy.

I had a right total knee replacement by Dr. Steven Moen in 2007 and the left in 2008. Surgery and rehab/recovery went extremely well and I have been very active and pain free since. But the true test was a hike down into the Grand Canyon and out, February 4-5, 2016. I hiked OUT of the Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail in 6.5 hours. I was told the average hiker does the trip out in 9-10 hours. Very happy with the success of the surgery and recovery!
I wanted to tell you how glad I am that I came in to see you and that I had the two cortisone shots in my hips. I am virtually pain free now, and I am able to sleep comfortably. I only wish I would have made an appointment to see you sooner.
Being able to have the consultation, x-rays and procedure done all in one appointment was really convenient. I appreciate that very much.
Also, I want to thank you again for all the wonderful care you gave Megan from the first time you saw her in urgent care in February until her last appointment with you in August. You really made a difficult situation that much easier with your medical expertise and compassion. She wants to continue her education after high school graduation with a desire of becoming an orthopedic doctor as she one day hopes to be able to help people with the same understanding and care you gave her. The same can be said for Stephanie as she was so nice to work with and always answered any questions we had. She always made sure Megan was comfortable during her cast appointments as well as other follow-up appointments. We can’t say enough about the care you both gave her at TCO.

Dr. Moen and his associate Stephanie were wonderful. Always answered my questions and were available by phone if need be. Great pair.

Doug B. (pictured on right) had suffered with daily knee pain for 5 years due to various sports injuries had suffered. After two arthroscopic procedures and several cortisone shots, Doug scheduled an appointment with Steven Moen, MD (pictured on left). “I discussed my past history with Dr. Moen and how my knee pain was affecting me on a daily basis,” he said. After attempting one final cortisone shot, Doug opted to have a total knee replacement. “Dr. Moen performed the surgery and I couldn’t be happier,” he said. Aside from a few difficult days, Doug said he has been extremely pleased with his new knee. And he describes the follow-up care he’s received as “the best I have ever experienced.”
